The Galena Foundation Tucked in the northwest corner of Illinois, Galena is a special place. A town rich in history and natural beauty, Galena is home to original buildings and architectural styles that were constructed well over 100 years ago. The Galena Foundation was formed more than 25 years ago by a group of Galenians wishing to preserve Galena and its heritage and history.
