2024 Recipient Beth Baranski

Frank Einsweiler saw that Galena’s history could be an important part of its future. Serving on the planning commission for 25 years and as Mayor for 4 terms, he navigated the community through the levee construction to protect the downtown area, past urban renewal pressures, and to the establishment of the Galena Historic District and preservation ordinance.
